
Catbird UK – Content Creator Apprentice
Salary: £15,000 for initial 12 months, at least NMW thereafter
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and enthusiastic individual with a passion for social media and digital storytelling to kick-start their career. You will work within our small team, assisting with the creation of engaging content across various platforms while undertaking a formal Content Creator apprenticeship programme at Big Creative Media.
We have external media consultants who will have initial set up. Your role is to work with the team and liaise with external team to support with the latest developments and offers.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Assist in planning, developing, shooting, writing and editing multimedia content for social media and website.
- Social Media Management: Support daily social media scheduling, engagement and monitoring.
- Research & Trend Analysis: Research social media trends, hashtags and competitor activities.
- Campaign Support: Work with the marketing team on campaigns and promotions.
- Performance Tracking: Learn to use analytics tools to track and interpret content performance data, contributing insights for future improvements.
- Admin & Organisation: Assist with general administrative tasks, including organising content using content management systems (CMS) and maintaining our content calendar.

The Candidate
Training to be provided
- Level 3 Content Creator.
- In-house mentoring.
Personal Qualities
- Team player who is enthusiastic, positive and confident when communicating with others.
- A genuine passion for social media, digital culture and content creation.
- Creative and curious mindset, eager to experiment with new ideas and formats.
Skills Required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and grammar.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities capable of prioritising workloads.
- Basic familiarity with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is an advantage (training will be provided).
Qualifications Required
- Good level of English.
- Strong foundation in graphic design and content creation.
- Formal qualifications such as GCSEs are helpful but not essential.
Things to Consider
The apprenticeship programme and your employment are fully integrated. You will be expected to show strong commitment to both your job role and your training. While the majority of your contracted hours will be spent working at Catbird UK Ltd, dedicated time will also be allocated towards completing your apprenticeship qualification.
Future Prospects
We will review all future prospects upon successful completion of the apprenticeship. Successful candidates may have the opportunity to secure a permanent full-time role with Catbird UK Ltd.
